    That's pretty good.

People did not think he meant fundamentally changing
America when he said "hope and change" they were duped.

They thought he was some great leader to get us out of
business as usual politics, the great unifier so to say.

He has been the great divider since getting in. -
The touchey-feeley good time has ended and the socialist has emerged.

And the part about joe donnelly saying he one of "us" and he's not part of the obama/pelosi crowd!??
The guy voted for everything that this administration wanted. AGAINST his constituents.
Now in an election year he is yammering on about "I'm one of you, not part of this washington crowd"
    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

The article sums up nicely how a lot of people around here feel as well. There are a lot of people that tell me they were straight ticket democrat voters all of their adult lives but because of Obama that has now changed.

Like most anti-incumbent articles, it picks the worst of the worst and focuses on that to get a point across. Funny though, because stimulus money is creating jobs Kokomo, Greensfield, Indianapolis, AND Elkhart! They forgot to mention the new manufacturing plant for electric cars under way which will create 400 jobs there.

WHAT??? Are you bunnies and unicornin' me?? If I rob your house and later hand you a $20... I did not bring you out of despair.

Politicians are ALL the worst. You evidently just don't get it! Our biggest enemy IS the incumbent. Career politicians are the bane of our society. They vote raises for themselves when the rest of the nation is suffering, they enact obamacare legislation that they are exempt from, they pass bad legislation that 75% of their constituents are against, etc... You can't destroy 1000 jobs then create 500 and say it's a boon! :n00b:

No, they mentioned it. They also pointed out that 400 jobs <<<<< 50,000 lost.

Also, that electic car factory only stays online as long as the government cheese continues to roll in. As soon as the subsidy stops or slows down, so will business.

I was saddened that Indiana went to the Dems this past cycle. Historically we have always been Conservative and voted with the Republicans. If you look at the election results by counties it is clear that only the bigger cities around indy/chicago/ft wayne were the difference that put him over the top. I dare say it was that way all over the country. People should have known how it was gonna be by his campaign words. He promised to be a centrist but veered extreme left once elected. Most Hoosiers see him for what he is and won't make that mistake again!

This is what I really like about this web site---being amongst a lot of like-minded people who think much the same as I and are not easily fooled by the crap being spewed out of the mouths of our elected officials, both republican as well as the commie progressive democraps. It is really nice to be able to take refuge between this site and that of Micheal Savage.

We can only hope the country isn't completely destroyed before he becomes a one trick pony. The biggest problem he's going to have is nobody is going to believe his campaign rhetoric again. Well, except for the liberal/leftist/progressive/democrats. They march in lock step, unless there is a serious primary challenger.

But independents/moderates already have a sour taste in their mouth from him.

Don't be suprised if Hillery doesn't resign and run a challenge at him. At this point it's almost a given. It really won't matter unless the repubs do something stupid, Oblamo should be relegated to history in 2012.

When the stimulus money for all of this goes...so does the electric car, wind turbines, fuel cells and all of this other garbage spewing out of administration, in trying to be "green". All of this federal money, scratch that, OUR money is going to Oblunderer's cronies he knows in the "green" business to reduce carbon emmissions. Simple story follows:

Electric cars? How do we power them after we have gone our 150 miles? Plug 'em in and charge them up...using what?....energy from our power plants. Hmmm, they use coal, a fossil fuel, don't they?

Wind turbines? Those giant things sticking out of nice remote hunting areas and natural areas (except for the farmers who get a deal out of leasing their land). Payback on these $2M dollar apiece deals won't be seen until 30 years from now. Hey, still have to dig and lay all of the thousands of miles of underground cable to inter-connect and hook them up to the grid.

Fuel cells? Keep in mind that fuel cells are devices for converting energy into electricity, much like an engine converts gasoline into mechanical energy. Both the fuel cell and the engine need fuel, such as gasoline, diesel, alcohol, or hydrogen. Fuel cells can be more efficient on energy conversion than engines, but the byproducts are still the same in both cases. All fuel cells require their incoming fuel to be converted into hydrogen first. Most hydrogen today is created from natural gas (hmmm...that's a fossil fuel!). It can also be created from water by electrolysis, but this requires electricity...(gee our power plants here in Indiana are coal, another fossil fuel).

Bottom line is that fuel cells seem clean, but they rely on fossil fuels just like everything else supposedly is being made to be green, but that makes them a "part of the problem" rather than the solution.

i think the last hope to change things around will be this november, or MAYBE people will give it till the 2012 election term. if things dont get better by then, I dont think we will be looking to the ballot to do what we need done.

What kind of changes r u talking bout there Ranger? You think el dumbo will pull a commy dictator takeover? You thinkthat China will start demanding payment for all the money they have loaned us and collapse our monetary system? There are a lot of things that can happen out there but I really don't think the good citizens of this country are ready for armed resistance.

The same people that believed Osama's BS last election will continue to follow the socialists wherever they lead. Even into the sewers, they will follow. People are too pathetic to provide for themselves and walk the hard walk.

Guys don't get too sure of the 2012 election. Many of you might remember the first George Bush. After the 1st gulf war everyone thought he had the 1992 election in the can. People were even joking that the Dems should just re-run the Dukakis commercials from '88. Well we all know what happened, 8 years of the Klinton Regime. We need to keep fighting until the evening of November 6th 2012

I'd rather invest in technology and resources that employs americans than send all my $$$ to countries that are trying to kill us. You're living in a bubble if you think that you'll be able to go the pump for cheap gas forever. The country that gets ahead on clean energy is going to dominate, if we don't invest in domestic companies to develop and manufacture we'll be buying it from China.
Wind turbines have the highest return on investment than any other energy source, and there is a reason why you don't really see them in the middle of a wooded hunting area.
Most new fuel cells can use other forms of biofuel and the ones that do use natural gas are twice as efficient as using the same fuel source in a turbine generator.
After using up the battery on a plug-in hybrid, yes they revert back to a fossil-fuel engine, but I don't drive 150 miles a day, and most people don't.
I'm not saying that those technologies are perfect, I'm just saying that I'd rather spend my money on products made in the USA and not be a slave to Saudi oil cartels. I'd like the option to be independent, and the more mass production of clean energy, the cheaper it will get for everyone.

I'm not arguing that incumbent politicians aren't the cause of unemployment, I'm arguing that most people (and this article) are focusing their anger on one person rather than the government as a whole in it's current state. The thousands of jobs lost didn't happen overnight, just as job creation won't either. The markets need to create the demand for jobs, but our politicians have been working against our domestic manufacturing companies for over twenty years and this is the result.

Whatever the news is reporting, great, I'm just saying that right now there are construction workers, electricians, laborers working at my facility for a stimulus project, and I'm guessing that most of them don't realize that the money is coming from the recovery act.
