That actually looks perfect. I was hoping that if anyone offered up some land it would have a good backstop. That looks like it'd do the trick nicely. Like I said in another thread, if enough of us want to do something like that, maybe we could ride together (carpool) somewhat to save on fuel expenses. Thank you lovemywoods for offering that. Now lets try to get a date in mind. I don't really have anything that I need to plan around, so I'm pretty open to suggestions. I would require, though, that it be planned at least a couple weeks in advance.
Just taking a quick look at the calendar, how would the first weekend in August be? The date is 8-2 or 8-3

I have a preference for Sundays, as I work every Saturday and would have to take a day off to go down. But that is also doable.

lovemywoods has church on Sundays, and would get back to the house around 1:30pm. But if I'm there, it doesn't matter what time we start.

The next week in August, like the 10th, would work better for me, but I might be able to swing the 3rd.

But, majority rules, so lets make it for when we can get the biggest group together.

I live in near I65/County Line Rd. and would be willing to help carpool folks. I have a mini-van that will hold an additional 5 or 6 people.

Nick and I live fairly close to each other, and I have a vehicle large enough to transport all of our "stuff", and would have room for couple of passengers as well.

Saturdays and Sundays work well for me, I still need as much notice as possible as I am on-call 24/7/365 and need to let the office know I will be unavailable for a few hours.

So just pick a day and let me know.

If anyone has any contacts, or may be a member of Pro-Teq, maybe they could inquire about holding a group shoot out there? I used to shoot there many moons ago when I was in college, nice range.

I'm down in FL now, otherwise I'd be glad to set this up with Don (Owner of Pro-Teq). He's held these before for some Rose students and acquaintances of his, IIRC.

Trust me, I'm doing whatever I can to get back there soon. I'm hoping within a few years I'll have enough experience to come back to work for NSWC - Crane or SAIC in their small arms departments or Dixie Chopper. Florida is nice and all, but Indiana just feels more comfortable.

Plus, down here buying enough land to build a proper range would probably require money that would make a Rose tuition look cheap.
