When people find out that i retired from the USAF, one of two things happen.

If a former military member finds out, they quickly do the math and say "If I had stayed in I would be retired".

If a civilian finds out, they ask only one question, "You get a pension don't you?".

I usually never tell anyone that I was in the USAF. I do so as not to be asked "Got any war stories?" I have found to many people believing war is a video game and you get DO OVERS!

U.S Army 1970-1978 Viet Nam. I don't regret a day I spent nor do I regret getting out.

Went were I was told, did what I was told to do. Nothing dangerous, nothing heroic.
