That's like the Arnold Schwarzenegger of the dog world!

It's an internet photo. I'm not as fortunate as you guys and I don't have a dog, yet. But if I did, this would he him.

    No, it's this dog...From what I've read, it's actually not a photoshop.

Man, that beautiful(all black) GSD really hits home.

My first ever "best friend" was an all black GSD. He died last year...I still really miss him.

He wasn't that big(only about 85 lbs), but he was an absolute stud and had more lives than a cat...I have too many stories about this dog to tell them all, but he's been electrocuted, hit by a bus and jumped out of the second story window of a house, only to land on the hood of a car going ~20-30 MPH...Old age ended up killing him.

That dog is known as a "Bully Whippet". It's basically a genetic mutation that causes increased amounts of muscle mass growth (more than double in most cases). They are a result of breeding two whippets with the genetic mutation.

I've wanted one for a long time.... but sadly it is frowned upon for breeders to create on purpose.

Basically "the poor man's greyhound" in standard form... get two of the faster breeds together and BAM... you get a bully.

    LOL @ thinking I could run 6 miles in 30 minutes.

Haha, if I had a launch, it would take him about 30 seconds to figure out he can entertain himself by dropping the ball into the basket.

I can put his leash on him, go out into the yard and he'll take himself for a walk(by grabbing the handle end and prancing around the fence line). He also LOVES walking other dogs...He's very safe about it too, he won't let them get anywhere near the road. :):

Get him a speed ball launcher (lets the dog shoot tennis balls by stepping/jumping on a board) - Wear himself out eventually!

I've seen this pic at least 10 times around the net, and I seriously laugh out loud every time.
Good to hear that your black Shepherd lived a long (and what sounds like fully fulfilled) life.
Funny how much joy a dogs can bring you even in thought.
