We will not be able to raffle it legally, as far as I can tell. We will need to find a charitable organization that can raffle it on our behalf. I haven't had time to find one yet.
They can certainly do a transfer, although that part isn't strictly necessary. As I understand the law (as posted in another thread), a raffle requires a raffle license, which is only granted to charitable organizations that meet certain criteria. We may ultimately end up having to do a no-reserve auction, which would not be ideal, but at least everyone would have a chance to bid.
People raffle stuff "illegally" all the time and nobody cares, but being a firearm, I imagine any rule breaking would open the doors for all sorts of people to jump on us.
I sure hope you can find someone to do the raffle for you. I would totally be in for that, but I'm not in a position to participate in an auction.
