I was going to make a comment about how I think it's gross when someone posts a picture and you see a bed that has obviously been slept in, and there are no sheets on the mattress. And, wouldn't you know it, MosinOwner posted a very fine example before I even posted.

Put some sheets on that damned bed!

I have noticed the Sharpie in the trigger guard in photos on gunbroker. Never paid much attention but now that it has been mentioned I find it quite humorous.

Toes give the photos of firearms more character. :D

Now the unkempt bed, including the toys and stains from extra curricular activities, I can do without.

So, you would rather this be posted without a gun in the pic?

I bought a rifle from a gentleman that took pictures of said rifle leaned against a wall in his bathroom. I didn't mind though. It looked like a really nice bathroom (clean of course).

    YOU MEAN LIKE THIS!

    picture.php
That was a really good try.
But your toes aren't in the pic.

I think the best pics are with a white background.

I really don't have a good white background in my house so, I usually take pictures of guns on the counter.

Why stick a sharpie through the trigger guard when you can prop the gun up on a magazine?

I also believe that a few rounds should always be strewn around.
    For effect...

For the love of god, why does everyone have to quote the picture of the NASTY toes?!? I made it past the initial picture and was like "WHEW! Thank god that's over!" Then of course I flip to the next page and :puke:...

I don't know why, but the Sharpie or pen through the trigger guard irritates the hell out of me.
I can understand the safety check and all that so it doesn't bug me in the Mr Safety respect, but it annoys me when it's crap that's in the way of seeing at least some of the gun, for the purpose of propping it up, when that isn't really needed.

(Sorry for the cluttered background here)

And photos taken on my nasty rifle case

And this one with a background of just crap lying around at the range..

I really need to work on not contributing to the problem.

Now that my Mother has her photo studio remodeled I'm looking forward to constructing some semi-permanent "structure" for photographing guns and gear.

Ok I found a picture of my Mother's studio setup. Its a before/after but you get the idea.
