Musicians, actors, media in general, CNN, stand up comics and facebook are where a lot of people get their "news", you are correct. It's a very low standard, and it's not that hard to show fault in it.
Most I have talked to do respond well to simple logic, when you point out the motivation for what ever is happening is due to greed, not capitalism. They can see through it, and they understand that they themselves are trading something they have for something they want, and when you explain that is the basis for all capitalism and all you have to do is keep power decentralized they can see at least enough light to realize it doesn't all have to be bad, and it actually may be the best system we know.
Not saying they are all convinced or anything but the seed is planted to at least help change the direction of their pendulum.
i think planting the seed is the most imprtant part, need that seed to grow for a few years into their mid 20's when the brain fully develops. very important, there is an old college humor.com joke where someone says to the class " by the time you are 30 you will all be republicans anyways"

At it's root the "Great Reset" is just a slick presentation of the W.E.F.s already existing goals, global governance and sustainability. W.E.F. and it's Young Leaders want to be the ones pulling the strings.

They are one set of the technocrats from the Bill Whittle video I posted above/elsewhere.

Basically, they want to save the world for us, and from us.

Sounds like global fascism to me, all for one, one for all.

@Oneofus1 here's the word from the horses mouth about what they intend.

COVID-19 lockdowns may be gradually easing, but anxiety about the world’s social and economic prospects is only intensifying. There is good reason to worry: a sharp economic downturn has already begun, and we could be facing the worst depression since the 1930s. But, while this outcome is likely, it is not unavoidable.
To achieve a better outcome, the world must act jointly and swiftly to revamp all aspects of our societies and economies, from education to social contracts and working conditions. Every country, from the United States to China, must participate, and every industry, from oil and gas to tech, must be transformed. In short, we need a “Great Reset” of capitalism.
The Great Reset agenda would have three main components. The first would steer the market toward fairer outcomes.

The second component of a Great Reset agenda would ensure that investments advance shared goals, such as equality and sustainability.

The third and final priority of a Great Reset agenda is to harness the innovations of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to support the public good, especially by addressing health and social challenges.

All sides believe there’s an existential threat to the world.

One set wants to meddle, engineer and control the world, with it’s members in charge, giving a narrow set of “choices” to those they want to control.

Another set wants to improve the themselves, their families and communities, leaving others to do the same. They’d prefer the least amount of governance to accomplish this.
