Why yes it is!! I have never seen so many selfish rude people in my life. They talk about rudist cities in the world, geez, I can't imagine NY or LA.

Since I broke my ankle, I now have no regimented sleep cycle---work. So, my wife says, lets go a little North to the Casino, to get out of the house.

I figure, it can't be too bad, she drops me at the door, I can hobble around on my crutches, drop a few nickels, watch the people.

People move around in that place like they drive, fast and rude. Don't be on crutches, or they will mow your butt down. I'm a big guy, and it's like they aim right for me. What a buncha turds. NO ONE, has any manners anymore. I know why they asked me for a wheelchair, because people injure themselves when they run into you when you're in one of those. The *welfare cases in the casino are the best, they are the rudest, most inconsiderate people in the world, like someone in there owes them something.

Boy did I feel like a poop magnet that night.

Just my opinion: parents have and are failing this country and society in general by not raising their children so that the kids know how to properly act in public. The children have not been taught how to be "ladies and gentlemen" when they are in the public "eye".

Exactly!! People also think what is yours-is theirs! They have no respect for other peoples property, and it is only going to get worse, as jobs go away, and there is nothing out there for these rude inconsiderate folk.

this exactly...but they're also not teaching their children the value of any life other then their own. I got into it several times with customers up by Zionsville for refusing sales to them, to have them answer...it's only a ...enter name of animal. It's still a life, still doesn't deserve to be sold into a situation where I know it's not going to get the proper care. Set a good example for your kids. I say thank you and please at the freakin drive through, the gas station, everywhere. They all deserve our respect as much as any other person does..

this exactly too..what's mine is MINE. EVERYTHING I have is because I work my butt off for it. Try to take what's mine, lol...I work 40 hours a week and drive a used SUV, live in an apartment in a so-so part of town, and spend just about every :twocents: I make taking care of my son and paying my bills. But then see people who are pulling scams on my store get into luxury SUVs. And wear designer clothes. But crime doesn't pay?

Quite a few of those people end up in jail. That luxury SUV does not drive very far at that point...

Never forget, thieves are usually some of the most miserable of the world's scum. Value your respect for other people's property, and the upbringing that taught you common etiquette. Although life will often seem bleak and fruitless, you have blessings to count.

Dead on Right!! I haven't bought a new vehicle in 10 years, I work hard to keep the things I've acquired, and then I see the things you mention. Somewhere, everything got all screwed up, and now society just allows it to forever continue. Where, and when will it end. Good Posts!

I really do agree with you on this. My cousins son Zane who is 7, is so spolied. I want to bend him over my knee, and beat his hide. My friend Dans children who are 7 and 4, and are very well behaved. When Dad talks, they listen. I even thanked him, for raisning his children to be good citizens. I try to be as polite as I can to others. One reason I go to Walmart early in the morning, to avoid the morons and hordes of rude people.

I should've put the crime doesn't pay in purple. That was my bad. I totally agree. I do value respecting other people's property. I strive to teach my son to treat everyone with respect and common courtesy. And I indeed do have many blessings to be thankful for. My self respect among them.

The SUV in this case, I hope they ended up in jail. They hit a couple different stores just in our company. But we had no proof of wrongdoing and corporate won't allow us to "accuse" anyone and take the chance of alienating a customer. We've had scam rings that hit us in Indy, then they hit stores in St Louis..vacation or moved, IDK.

This is spot on here! I say please and thank you everytime I go to the local gas station here to get a fountain coke. They know me by name and my son by name and its not because he just stands out but because the girls always say how sweet and polite he is. (3yrs old) Another time that I bet she doesn't remember is when I stopped in Tactical Shotgunner with my 3yr old and my girlfriend. MrsG offered my son a tootsie roll and he told her thank you without any prompting and only took one each time. That makes me proud knowing that he is learning from watching and listening which in turn he is treating others with respect and using please and thank you. Finally, if you have never worked in the public service industry then you may not know how bad it can get but you could make a persons day better by just telling them thank you for their service that day.:twocents:

this is exactly right. I transfered from a store in Carmel to a store in Speedway. Everyone at the old store was suprised I'd want to transfer "there" even though it's closer to home. The people in Speedway are overall MORE appreciative of MY time and knowledge. I get far more thank you's and please's. I've seen so many more people's faces light up just by my asking them if they need help with anything. It's not rocket science down here to make people happy.

and GREAT job with your son....really!! I still see plenty of rude kids so every child that isn't rude gives me hope :patriot:

without you telling the story, no I didn't remember, but seeing it, it stands out very clear because your son is a well behaved young man and I was VERY impressed with the thank you without prompting. I remember the good kids more so than the bad kids, i just don't always remember who it was without reminder. I always try to let the parents know I appreciate their well behaved child too.

yesterday IJ was in also with one of his daughters. She too was a very polite young lady. He tried to tell her I was working and to stop bothering me, thing is she wasn't. She was watching, helping a bit and asking a few questions. If I didn't answer immediately because my mind was doing something else, she didn't get impatient and ask again. She waited patiently for me to finish what I was doing and answer her. All of his girls are like that, all polite young ladies.
