No go on the modified pmags. At least not that I know of...

No word yet on the pricing, but retail is in the $400-$600 range. These are cut-rifled, not your standard button rifled.

Those prices are just meh. Those seem to be the prices most others are charging. Harder to find non fluted though for a price comparison but for the fluted one theres better deals to be had. Rainer arms has a couple of the sabre defence barrels for those prices. I cant see a group buy being that much cheaper. What do i get for 200$ over a lesser known brand. I think the money would be better spent on ammo unless there is something im missing.

I agree on the 'clearance' pricing being meh...

You are comparing apples and oranges though. Sabre Defense is button rifled while these are cut rifled. Think swaged rifling vs machine cut rifling. Button is easier to break in, but cut will be more accurate and maintain that accuracy longer. Cut rifling induces less stress in the manufacturing process. Cut rifling takes hours while button rifling takes minutes, thus the price variances.

The process of button rifling is literally taking a button (die) and pulling or pushing it through the bore. The process of cut rifling is machine cutting each groove individually.

At the end of the day, most of us won't out shoot a button rifled barrel....

WOW, what does a 24" .936 non fluted barrel have to weigh? That has to be like picking up a crow bar.
I'm searching the all wise internet in hopes of getting a 24" cut ss barrel for my 6.5 G build chambered in .264 LBC. I am probably falling for sales hype and internet chatter but I like the theory that it will require less neck reshaping and therefore possibly less stress on the brass (use it more times).?.

    I have a 28" .936 that is fluted....still a heavy beast.

They aren't wanting to talk much until they know what we are interested in. If anyone is interested in pursuing this further, let me know.

So i take it a group rate is dead? Im looking at a 24" stoner barrel with bolt and 2 mags for 300 shipped.

Not dead, just haven't heard much in terms of participants...we have you, myself, and another at this point. I was hoping to get another person or two.

Lets make this the last call on this and I will get with Deb and see what she can do!
