Dan is right, but also very wrong.

You can but from a private person, but if it is illegal for you to have a gun, it does not matter what process to go through to "get" the gun. It is illegal for you to have it or carry it... with or without a licensing scheme.

Oh I'll agree. I am laughing my butt off here. Problem is, if they can't get him to admit he was WRONG, his party will continue to believe everything he says about Constitutional Carry

Firefighter brought up the first point I can see, not agree with.
"Police" say they need it to know who the bad guys are. The public will eat that up.

Wow. Attack Guy Relford for being "caviler" on officer safety.

Guy counterattacks with, he merely asked for proof of the statement that it would affect officer safety, and that the position of the police being against it, wasn't all police.
Another good point, he said an officer told him EVERYONE is viewed as a possible danger.

I had to call last night for a young girl who's boyfriend dumped her at the gas station, left with her car, phone, purse, everything.
When the officer got there, she got up to walk towards him, he put his hand out and very firmly told her to sit back down.
I walked away and around a counter so as not to get to close to him and went back to work.

Well that was a waste of time! 2.5 guys talking in circles(Lucas was the half, he didn't say much) arguing over get/acquire, then moving on and not really saying anything. Guy tried to steer, Dan wouldn't answer, or obfuscated any answer he almost gave. Then constant overtalking each other and interrupting, may as well have listened to four hours of Bob and atom laughing at each other?

Oh I get it. I see officers everyday in there at work. I hear the stories from them, I was not putting that officer down for what he did. Just putting a situation out there.

I also give our guys a huge shout out, the nights I have had to cover 3rd shift, they have driven through the parking lot to check on the store. I wave and they move on.

This whole CC thing is not going to change anything

Best argument so far.
Police ALREADY arrest criminals carrying guns. They didn't get stopped.
And the penalty for carrying without a license, Class A misdemeanor.
