Well that was a waste of time! 2.5 guys talking in circles(Lucas was the half, he didn't say much) arguing over get/acquire, then moving on and not really saying anything. Guy tried to steer, Dan wouldn't answer, or obfuscated any answer he almost gave. Then constant overtalking each other and interrupting, may as well have listened to four hours of Bob and atom laughing at each other?

I was afraid of this. This guy visited Jim Lucas' FB page a few time leading up to this. For every question he'd ask, he got s numberof decent,polite answers, knocking down every point he asserted. The next thing you'd know, he'd be back like he'd never read a thing.

The show was hard to listen. It was a train wreak from the begin that could not get back on the rails. If you were not a gun person you probably walk away with nothing.

As for the discussion of "acquire", "get", and "well, I'm a firefighter not a lawyer"....

I'm sure the comment was meant to appeal to the blue collar worker of the state.
I'm a blue collar worker.
When I hire a plumber, I expect a guy to know his tools and how to use them. And know the rules/laws the apply.
When I hire an electrican, I expect a guy to know his tools and how to use them. And know the rules/laws the apply.
And here's the thing....
When I hire a politican, I expect a guy to know his tools and how to use them. And know the rules/laws the apply.
So... if you're trying to decide LAW, you should probably NOT be arguing that "get" and "acquire" are different, especially WHEN THEY'RE NOT!

I thought it would be brought up as it's related to CC and some of the pundits at the time stated it would create a de facto version of CC if cops couldn't demand you produce one if they suspect you're carrying. I've got my own concerns regarding CC as it potentially complicates national reciprocity if not in legislation, but in practice. The cost of a lifetime LTCH should be revisited but it's a revenue stream so driving it down is a Sysiphean Task pushing in the opposite direction.

Left thinking on these matters has no merit. The facts are mace up/skewed to fit the rhetoric. Sound bites and talking points. Run the opposition in circles until they give up. It is an art form that only the absolute most accomplished spin masters have mastered.
