Yeah, he claimed it was a teleprompter glitch (and it very well could've been) and he said the word "airports" when talking about the revolutionary war. In fairness, Obama was criticized for his use of teleprompters but I think they're pretty much the standard for public speaking. I honestly think the Trump gaffe (I haven't heard it yet) sounds hilarious and it's already spawned some good memes.

All my lefty acquaintances jumped all over this as further evidence that Trump is stupid. I try to tell them that perhaps he meant to say 'ports' and slipped up, but they wouldn't hear it - so I sent them some actual Biden quotes (there are many) and the link to the video of what a stuttering moron the great orator Obama was when his teleprompter went Tango Uniform. According to them that's different, to which I agreed "Yeah, Biden really is stupid he doesn't just seem that way"

We help build houses with Habitat, and this is what they do. The eventual owners are there painting and doing other finishing work. They also have a two track mortgage system where if the owner tries to flip the house all the profit comes back to Habitat for something like five years

All my life I've seen president after president who is so hard to judge, to figure out their motives, to access the credibility of their words... Trump is the first I've felt rather confident in knowing his intentions.

You can complain about the tweeting all you want, but it makes him one of the most transparent people we've had in office. And if you think that negatively effects our foreign policy, all I can say is look at the fruits of this administration's foreign policy. We're seeing things accomplished that have never been dreamed of being possible.

I read the OP's link, and I don't get the big deal. It's HUD making grants. It's what they do. Harris has certain aspects of her private life which could be considered a liability in gathering the black vote, and I suspect her sudden interest in things like busing and HUD grants may be borne of a perceived need by her campaign to bone up on her "Democrat 101" skills.

What will kill her chances faster than anything, after last week's debate, will be coming across as angry. She wouldn't be the first candidate to find out that what titillates the DC media, doesn't always play well to the general public.
