Picked this up today. Not usually a fan of push daggers but thought this was cool. Desert ironwood scaled and the guy bought the damascus got it years ago and forgot what type it was, possibly 180 layer.

I paid $120 here locally for mine. Great price! I've had it out in the field for a tally of perhaps a few months. Rations, sticks, boxes, seals on ammo cans, plastic banding, rope and twine, uniforms, paper, cardboard, plastic...I've cut everything with this guy. I think I've sharpened it twice. It holds an edge well.

The lock is beveled so that as the material wears over time, my ability to lock the blade does not. The only thing better for the money, would be a fixed blade, yet this is a folder that I can carry outside of work discreetly.

The finish has held up greatly too. Zero rust on the blade, and its been nicked, scraped, smacked, and used to pry things open even. For those of you who cap for extended periods, you can understand the difficulty in keeping your knife clean during extended stays outdoors. It's been a superb blade, and it's going to Afghanistan with me here shortly.
