You mean every mag isn't going to get it's own gun?!?!?!?! I guess if you really want to save weight you could just use one pistol, but I like my way better because with 187 1911's there might be one that's reliable and doesn't break when it's dropped.

Well I placed an order with Hartatac on the 12th and haven't gotten a tracking # yet. I logged onto the website and it showed the order as still processing.

Been thinking about this, and wondering if we should do a similar thread for the AK boys?

I will keep this in mind the next time I need some. Thanks. BTW, why are the FDE mags less money than black?

I know the feeling. Me too. I need a couple 20-rounders though and maybe even a couple 10-rounders.

I tried one of the new 10rd mags with the idea that I was going to be comparing it to a 20rd for precision shooting and I didn't see much advantage in it. You may have other reasons behind wanting one, but for me I didn't see any real advantage.

Maybe I don't need one then. I was thinking it would be out of the way for prone shooting.

It will be out of the way, but probably not by that much more than a 20rd mag. I bought my 10rd pmag from AGS and it was something that I wanted to try out. I tried it and it worked, but for me it didn't do much more than a 10rd mag does. Maybe you lay flatter than I do though. I couldn't have it on my conscience that I played a part in talking a guy out of buying one more magazine.

With an AR you have the pistol grip hanging about as low as a 20 round magazine. The 10 round magazines are for where the law restricts or competition rules mandate. The 5 and 10 round mags are pretty good with the Mossberg bolt action when you do not want a long mag hanging up on stuff.

Just saw something the other day about DSG having their 10 black pmags for $80 sale. It's amazing how far the prices have come since I first started this thread.

DSG is now having their 10 pack sale for Gen 3 pmags at $95 with free shipping. This is exactly the kind of sale that leaves me with little to no sympathy for the guys who didn't buy mags when they were dirt cheap. Just wait until Hilary is about to be our next president and guys will be wishing for the day they could get any pmag for under $100 let alone a gen 3 for $9.5.
