Well yay :) thanks for hosting this, it was a lot of fun. I still see plenty of room for improvement though.

We had another great night tonight and the range was full as it seems it always is.
We had seven shooters to shoot the match and Jennifer Sexton was able to join us tonight.
Ruth and her son were unable to join us tonight, they get quite busy some times.
But we had a good time with those who were there.

David Hearsh was high score tonight with 227-2X in .45 and 183 in .38.

John Wilson shot 199-1X in .40 and 108 in 9mm.

Wallace Pulley shot 175 and 168 in 9mm.

    Bob Behme shot a 141 and 100 in 9mm.

    Jeremy Hinds shot a 140 and 125 in 9mm.
    and
Jennifer Sexton shot a 136 and 134 in .22 cal. Very consistant.

I think Pepper Jackson was disapointed with his score because he didn't turn in his targets but he was really more interested in shooting his new 9mm AR-15 and was very pleased with the results.

Great job everyone, see you next week.

Another great night, it was cold outside but it was cozy in the range.

We had five league shooters tonight along with all of the other shooters that were there.

David Hearsh was our top score tonight with 230 in .45cal.and 159 in .38.

    John Wilson shot a 200 in .40cal. and 125 in 9mm.

Wallace Pulley shot 176-2X and 144 in 9mm.

Jennifer Sexton shot 166 and 163 in .22 cal., very consistant.

Bob Behme shot 92 and 40 in 9mm.

Everyone had a good time and I look forward to seeing all of you next week.

I brought my Star BKM 9mm to the range tonight, it's a fine auto of the
1911 style and it fits my hand very well. It has an aluminum frame so it is very light and is easy to carry and is smallish in size.

I let Jennifer try out my red dot sighted Ruger 22/45 lite tonight to see if she could do better with a red dot. She was unaware that she could use a red dot for our matches so she may be shopping for one soon.

    Have a great week everyone.

Oooooooooooooooh, it feels so good to lay down, it's been a long active day.

Well I found out that I need to get to the range and shoot more, I'm getting rusty.

Hey we had another good time tonight. We had eight shooters in all, one didn't turn in his targets because of malfunctions with his handgun, he was getting light hammer strikes for some reason.

Marvin Hinkle was our high scorer tonight with a 271-4X in .22 cal.

Tom Dobbs shot a 265-2X and 237-1X in .22 cal.

Dan Freeman (That's me) shot a 256-3X, I told you I need more practice.

    David Hearsh shot a 248-3X in .45 and a 134 in .38 cal.

    Wallace Pulley shot a 216 in .45 and 80 in 9mm.

    Rob Voland shot a 209 and a 196-1X in 9mm.
    and
    Bob Behme shot a 77 and 75 in 9mm.

Good job everybody see all of you next week.

    Hi guys and girls;

Hey Tom Dobbs was in the store today asking about his targets from this last Tuesdays shoot and Karen didn't know anything about them so she asked me.
I'm keeping the targets now because they were running out of room on the shelves behind the range counter and if you want any of them I'll have them with me next Tuesday.
    See you then.

    Hi guys and girls

I feel like we had an exceptional evening tonight with great comradery and we also had another new shooter and it was very enjoyable.

Kevin Poe's targets got scrambled up somehow tonight so I had to recount them, every one else's targets were pretty straight forward.

Tom Dobbs took 1st. and 2nd. place tonight with a 258-4X and 244-2X in .22 cal. good job Tom.

    Rob Voland shot a 208 in 9mm and 169 in .45.

    Wallace Pulley shot a 198 in .45 and a 116 in 9mm

    Kevin Poe shot a 192-1X and a 179-1X in .22 cal.

Jeremy Hinds shot 144-1X and 126-1X in .45 cal.

Robert Lorenzoni shot a 123-1X and 68 in .40 cal.

    Bob Behme shot a 88 in 9mm and a 25 in .380 cal.

    Good job everyone.

Some of the shooters are trying out different guns and calibers each week and that's a good thing.

    See you next week.

    Hi everybody;

I want to let everyone know that I won't be at the match Tuesday evening because I'm having an operation on my right eye in the late afternoon time period and the surgeon wants me to be still until Thursday, so someone else, probably Gary will run the match this Tuesday night.

    Now for some great news.
I have been informed that the shooters from Naval Avaionics pistol league will be holding there matches on Wednesday evenings at BGF&R. There are about 20 regular shooters on their teams, so for those of you that want a more formal shooting experiance, here's your chance to be a part of their teams.
You can find more info on this at the BGF range counter. They have a flier posted there. They use a lot more ammo though.

OK, everybody have a great week and I'll see you again on the 22nd of April.

    Dan.

Thanks Dan, great news. For those of us who won't be hitting the range counter soon, do you remember any of the specifics (calibers, course of fire, etc.)?

Good luck with the eye op...(but with a fixed eye, you now have to spot us 20 points).

Well it's a little different than the way we do it.
As I recall they shoot 10 shots in 4 minutes.
Then 5 shots in 20 seconds, repeated four times.
Then 5 shots in 10 seconds, repeated four times.
I hope I got that right, I only looked at it for a few seconds while I was talking to Gary.

I would almost bet you it's 22 cal. only and they probably shoot auto loaders but may not be a requirement.
I know when I shot with them years ago I started by using a 4" Colt Diamond back because I couldn't afford a auto loader at the time.
    Eventually I did buy a S&W model 41 with, I think a 5" barrel.

Next time I'm at the store I'll copy the flier on my camera phone and post here.
By the way, most of those guys were very, very good.

Well Dan I hope I did as well tonight as you always do. Hope you get to feeling better you were missed. It's always good to see new faces join our group.

Tom Dobbs took top place tonight with 245-5x and 232 in 22 cal
David Hersh second with 245-5x in 45 cal and 93 in 38 spl
Ruth Williams had 215 and 166 in 22 cal
Jeremy Hinds had 191 and 111 in 45 cal ( more ten ring shots)
Kevin Poe also had 191 in 22 cal and 125 in 45 cal
Wallace Pulley had 177 in 45 cal and 166 in 9mm
Rob Voland had 176 in 9mm and 175 in 45 cal
Matt Williams had 151 and 99 in 22 cal
    Terry had 79 and 57 in 9mm

Great job to all and thanks for putting up with me tonight.
