    As a matter of fact, yes. The HOA set a lovely table in the form of the covenant regarding flagpoles and I ate their lunch! No more harassment! Old Glory is flying proudly along with the Gadsden.

    So they did something to the covenants post-facto... And without the appropriate hoop-jumping that needs to be done when amending them?

    Do tell the story! I'm interested in hearing about lunch-eating. :laugh: :D

    I can see both sides of the issue. I have never lived in a HOA, but my first home was a double wide, I had a Mobile Home next door. No big deal, never bothered me and the neighbor kept his property very neat as did I.
    Neighbor sold his home and slobs moved in, next thing I know they build a 20x30 chicken wire cage to raise pheasants. Once again it didn't bother me too much but when I went to sell my house it apparently bothered the realtor and those looking at the house. Cost me 10K I am told.
