    The lightest I would go if I ever planned on shooting it would be any of the brands that sell an aluminum framed model. I love my LW Operator, sure there are lighter ones out there but, they sure are unpleasant to shoot....

    Lol..yep..the lightest 1911 in the world means nothing once you start jamming 6-7 rounds of 230gn ammo in it.

    Like others said, a quality holster and belt will lessen the felt weight of any pistol. Cheap stuff will make seem like you have a Ruger p90 or a boat anchor, which is the same, on your hip.
