Picked up a Savage Hog Hunter in 308 from the shop in Riley yesterday. Owner told me the shop is going Class 3 in July. I foresee a can in my future.

This just arrived today from Allan's Armory. :D Other than the missing medallion in the stock, it looks like a brand new rifle.

I'm back in the FAL game!

Coonan reciever built on an Imbel parts kit. 16" barrel DSA trigger and scope topcover, railed fore end. When it goes to the range I've got a 1.5-5x scope in an AR scope mount its a bit high, so I'll probably end up mounting it in standard rings if it seems like its a good shooter.

How is that new stock? One of those is on my future "must have" list...
It's pretty nice. It fit near perfectly and there's no rough edges or seams. No modifications needed for the Timney trigger or free floating the barrel. They goofed up and didn't ship the stock 5 round magazine but it's supposed to be here this week. I also ordered some 10 round mags that are still on backorder. Overall it's well worth the money, in my opinion. It definitely breathed some new life into an old gal.

Picked this up from a friend whose dad brought it back from WWII. From what I can tell, it was made at the Koishikawa arsenal (Tokyo), sometime in the late 1920's or early 1930's. I remember this rifle from my childhood and to a little kid, it seemed HUGE! It still is taller than I am with the bayonet attached. I haven't started cleaning it up yet, but here are some "before" pictures. :)

some pics (mostly old) of my long guns.

    ruger #1

the crappy scope in this pic broke, replaced it with a weaver 4x which i then gave to a buddy of mine for his 17HMR henry. now its got a 3-7x pistol scope on it. very uncomfortable to shoot while properly using the scope, but who cares. its 22lr!
