    @Booya.

    Having the optics on the front rail eliminates any zeroing issues from the takedown model. Glad you like it!

    Cable .. Very cool rifle.. Been all over looking for someone that went this route with a takedown.

    Would you be willing to share any more photos of it?.. From the side, maybe?

    Also, wondering if you have tried any other scopes? .. Like a scout\pistol scope mounted forward?

    Again, .. very cool ... and thanks for sharing pics and info.

    I was lucky enough to score a nice M1 Garand yesterday. Unfired specimen the original owner bought from CMP in 2008. I took it to the range today for it's maiden test fire. It passed with flying USA American colors with exceptional accuracy and function! I snapped a few photos near the woods and I think they turned out spectacular.

    Congrats on a great rifle, a piece of history, and a gun that will be a joy to shoot for years to come!

    And today. Added a steel lower receiver, HK91 leather sling, and Burris Fullfield II in a PEPR.

    I'll be sending the triggerpack off to Bill Springfield to have him work his magic on it. Also waiting on RTGParts.com to complete their next run of bipods. So far it's been a really fun shooter, pretty accurate. I kept reading about how the recoil was atrocious, but it seems more than manageable to me.

    You know I've always wanted a BAR, as one of my Grandfathers was a BAR man in WWII (fortunately it was in '45 when we had Germany on its heels, as BAR men didn't usually last long in combat). I'm not sure I want that gun though. It looks like someone tried to figure out just how much "tacti-cool-ness" they could try to cram on a rifle with otherwise very classic lines.
