    I shot my Ruger GSSR with Spikes Dynacomp last week. I was shooting up some Federal 168gr M1A ammo I picked up a case of years back. Recoil seemed fairly mild compared to the TC Encore shot with the same ammo. The difference in apparent recoil was a bit shocking actually. Encore was on the edge of not being fun to shoot.

    Remington told me they discontinued their managed recoil in .308. We tried some custom lite yesterday and she was pretty happy with that. I may just leave it with that for this season.

    SSTs tend to expand rapidly and don't hold together particularly well but at the listed velocity (and accounting for the shorter barrel), they should work fine on any vital shot that doesn't include the thickest bones in the shoulder.
