Lube question from a new AR owner

Probably a weird one here but i've been running slip 2000 Extreme Weapons GREASE in mine for a long time and never had issues. Stays where you put it and seems to do a better job than most oils i've tried.

How often do you clean it? Have you ever used it when it's really cold?
