    FYI: I posted some questions about these trade-ins on a police forum. Two officers responded. Both said that they have had nothing but good things with their M&Ps. They didn't say anything negative about them (one posted he had his 9mm for three years now). One said that a number of agencies are cutting officers, and that these trade-ins could be an oversupply sold for funds for some LE agency.

    I don't want to come across as a M&P hater because I've never personally owned one.
    I do have friends on two different departments who had M&Ps and they had LOTS of problems with them. S&W ended up buying both departments new guns from different manufacturers but the departments had to sign non-disclosure agreements.
    I would buy with caution on a gun this new that has already been traded in.
