I wouldn't. It obviously says US RIFLE, so it's obvious it belongs to the goverment. I wouldn't let them know you have it.

Also my OP rod spring came apart when I pulled it off from being so old.. I replaced it with a new one.

This is my nightmare! I shoot lefty and having that long chunk of metal flying back and forth in front of my face worries me even if it isn't that nice of a face! I replace all the op rods with NOS ones for all my shooters. I have several that I don't shoot that are 'correct' but what good are they if you have no eyes to see them...

In my case It was the spring, I’ve never once heard of a Garland op rod coming apart. Jumping track due to a worn tab, yes.
