Going to have the opportunity to shoot a custom 10 MM Commander style, and a Colt Delta tomorrow. So I am going to pick up a variety or at least as much of a variety of rounds as possible. I think it will possibly help me decide on Gov versus Commander. At this point I am leaning towards a Gov model, not sure if the extra length and weight will aid in muzzle flip, accuracy etc.
Another open item is the the sights, I really like the idea of the Ghost Ring sight for the rear, and I would think that practice, proper draw would eliminate an potential snag issues with the sight?

Having owned both I lean towards the 5" for the reasons stated.

I carry a 1911 so for me I prefer the Commander it seems the .75 inch shorter slide/barrel does help for carry. It does have a small amount of increased blast/muzzle flip as far as accuracy I don’t think it would make much difference for defensive work IMO.
