Silencers Have NEVER Been Illegal !
Marion County Fish and Game is pleased to announce that we will be hosting Michigan Defensive Firearms Institute on June 25th and 26th, 2011 for their Defensive Shotgun 1 & 2 curriculum.
Shotgun 1 will be covered on Saturday and Shotgun 2 will be covered on Sunday, this is a 2-day course.
Day 1 will focus on familiarizing the students with the shotgun as a home and personal defense weapon. Day 2 will include going more in-depth into the shotgun as a fighting weapon as well as deploying a shotgun in conjunction with a sidearm (handgun).
Class will start promptly at 10:00am both days, but I suggest arriving 30 minutes early.
Marion County Fish and Game is located on Indianapolis' near West side at 465 & Crawfordsville Rd.
The cost for this 2-day course is $300 and a $100 deposit is required to reserve your place in this class. I expect this to fill quickly so it will be first come, first served. There is also a $20 range fee for students who are not MCFG members. Range fee and balance of course fee can be paid the first day of class.
Anticipated round-count for this class is as follows:
600 Birdshot
25 Buckshot
50 Slug
200 Handgun
On the ammunition topic, if you are going to be running a Remington 870, DO NOT bring Winchester birdshot with the silver colored "brass". This is a known issue and could cause the empty shell to stick in the chamber as the gun heats up. Plan on bringing a couple brands of buckshot so that you can learn what works best for you.

Registration closes on June 10, but this will fill fast. Your spot will not be reserved without a deposit.
Feel free to PM me with any questions.
