I just gave 25 bucks. Not a fortune but I am on a budget.

I know the NRA isn't perfect and has some flaws but we would all be up s#%t creek without them. I want my grandkids to be able to enjoy the same freedoms that I have cherished all of these years. Hunting, shooting and collecting guns has been such a large part of my life and it is a big piece of who I am today. I will do what I can to protect that freedom.

    Every little bit helps.

I texted everyone in my contacts, that I thought would be receptive, to Join or renew their membership today. I added a link for membership and one for donations.

A friend asked what was going on, so I gave a short explanation of the issue.

Since it was a mass text everyone got the explanation.

$100 plus a handful of entries for the upcoming Friends of NRA. That's not political, but funding is used to introduce more people to guns and gun safety, including young people. We need them.

Just threw a gift membership at my father...hopefully they don't bomb him with calls for money and donations.

Regardless, its only money...so sent him a membershp for the first time in his life.

    NRA= catch-all 2nd amendment advocacy
NRA-ILA (Institute for legislative Action) = lobbies congress critters to vote for pro-2nd issues
NRA-PVF (Political Victory Fund) grass-roots campaigning to get pro-2nd candidates elected

All are vital arms, each concentrating on one area of 2nd amendment advocacy.
Take your pick which one, or spread it around.
This being an election year, I would guess the best to donate to would be the NRA-PVF.
We need to elect/re-elect as many pro-2nd candidates as possible this November.

Thanks for the info, you made a good point about the elections so I donated $25 to the PVF.

Things are a little tight right now, I wanted to hit the ILA as well. Maybe in a few weeks.

    Soooooooo....

Went to post on Facebook that I had just done my part with a donation to the NRA and a couple of memberships. Basically to tweak the anti-gunners on my FB list as I know there are several. Even a couple 'we should register them but I LOVE guns'.

Anyway, it said 'add a donate button'? I was like .....hmmmmmm.

I clicked it and it said 'select yoru charity'.

Low and behold...there are several NRA non profits listed. I selected one...and now you can donate to the NRA via my friends feed by clicking a few buttons.

GO DO IT if you're on the book. Zuckerburg is obviously distracted.

I don't do the pamphlet of pusses, but that is hilarious.
I hope you get at least a few donations through that link before they poof it.
Kudo's to you, and rep's inbound.
