Oh, I'm sure the lay folks are going to be up in arms, so to speak.

Nevertheless, in UT, it will officially be illegal.

Gee, maybe having a big hierarchy in church isn't a good thing. :stickpoke:

Take a good look at Mormonism and tell me the houses of worship don't have their own supply of guns.

I guarantee that there are several guns in LDS houses of worship.

Yep...."The Avenging Angel" Colt's are a neat collectors niche...

You'd be hard pressed to find a Mormon congregation where at least a few aren't carrying concealed all the time. You'd think a group whose predecessors included the likes of John Moses Browning would be squarely in favor of being armed as part of being prepared at all times.

Much to my chagrin, virtually all Catholic parishes would have a cow if they knew some of their members were carrying during Mass. It's sad, really, If Pope John Paul II had been asked the question directly, I think he would have been okay with people carrying concealed in church, especially in light of churches being targets for mass shootings. He certainly explicitly recognized the validity of self-defense in at least one of his Encyclicals on the mid 1990s. Red Francis would not be as wise, but then he's not as wise on any issue (and he's a Marxist).

You have no idea. Like seriously it's a bad idea trying to take down a Mormon Temple. I had my eyes opened wide when they open their Temple in Carmel.

They are late to the party. I forget which church, but after sandy hook, one made an overt statement that they were going gun free to protect their flock. :rolleyes:All of them were ordered to put up no guns signs and everything. Presbyterians?

My Presbyterian church pastor made mention just last Sunday about the fact we are definitely not a gun free zone, and it is well known that we have several members who are avid shooters, both competitive and "well regulated" plinkers.

My understanding is you are required to have a rifle and a shotgun in your home along with one year's food supply.....

I knew a Mormon couple that were uncharacteristically leftist (self-proclaimed socialists) and the wife was thoroughly anti-gun and anti-gun rights. The husband had a strong interest in firearms and shooting, but that was in stark contrast to the rest of his beliefs and he clearly did not support gun rights. Their home was without rifle or shotgun when I met them, but he did acquire an old military Krag from a relative at one point and had a box of 20 rounds for it (we shot at least half of that). She probably made him get rid of it by now.

I hope he held onto the rifle. I wouldn't want his politics to screw him out of his planet.

    PCUSA, most likely.

Too many Catholic churches have schools attached.

Glad I go to a Brethren church, once they found out I carried at church they asked me to be on the security team.
The pastor outed me, after we went to the range a few times together

    Do they prefer revolvers?

Me too, but . . . when you practice two religions (Mormanism and Cultural Marxism), when the two conflict, one has to yield.

Mormonism and Marxism (if that's what we're calling socialism) don't conflict, at least if one practices Joseph Smith's version, and modern Mormonism is certainly more materialistic. Mormonism is a religion is one of those religions that, it seems, is often able to disregard, or ignore it's original tenets.
