I think that atrocious trigger was intended as a safety feature, like those palm squeeze pocket pistols..

Per Mossbergs connection to Stevens, forget not Iver Johnson. So many of those early gun makers are near insestious in there relationships. Look at the Smith&Wesson-Volcanic-Henry-Winchester connections. Or Colt & Whitney.. and that's just the big fish we lose track of those designers and engineers that go back & forth.

Are you sure Mossberg made that pistol.. I do not see an ejector rod.. :)
Them new-fangled pistols eject the spent brass on their own. It's amazing!

It's really tough to find those swivels, too!

I just found 4 of them. Two for my 151M-C and one for the 346KA (they're all the same) from Numrich. They're spendy though! If they had the originals they'd be cheap, but the ones they do have are 30 bucks a pop. :faint:

Can any of you Mossberg afficianados explain to me the folding forearm on the models 142 and 152? I’ve always wondered why?

I blame cheapskates who did not want to put out for the real one.. and a corporate mentality willing to sell to them.

Well done Indy! That was impressive. Thanks for the information.
As a kid, a buddy had one, and we always felt like we had a tommy gun when we folded it down.

Watching his twins do the same thing with it made us both chuckle as adults.

Just won this one on Gunbroker. Mossberg 44US (c). I don't think it's marked U.S. Property (but don't know for sure), but otherwise it's exactly like my very first .22. Same gun I used to get my Rifle & Shotgun merit badge in Boy Scouts. Mine got stolen back in the early 80's and I've wanted one ever since. :)

    Wow, I had one also.

The last one I had was from my parents neighbor in a retirement village in Florida. He didn't want to stand in line at the police buy back so he sold it to me for $50.

    It was my civic duty...

Thank goodness you kept that deadly weapon off the streets! :patriot:

Actually that's what I paid for my first one too (somewhere around 1972 or 73). Got it out of the old Trader paper.

Took the 151M-C to the range today and got it sighted in. I hadn't cleaned it or anything since I got it and it had a few issues at first, but I think part of them were due to the hodge podge of old crappy ammo (mostly Remington Golden Bullets) I was using just to get the scope on paper. Squirted some lube in the action and it was better but it was still having some ejection and feed issues. Once I was ready to really dial the scope in, I switched to CCI standard velocity and it was perfect with that. Really nice shooter. Still waiting on the 44 U.S. to ship. The Fedex label was created on 2/25 and it still hasn't started moving yet. :xmad: I was really hoping it would have been here in time to take it today too. Original delivery date was supposed to be Friday.

Scope mount arrived from Brownell's today so I got the 44 US scoped. Already had the scope (Bushnell 3-9x). I had originally thought the scope didn't work because the magnification adjustment didn't work. Turned out it was just a loose set screw. Tightened it up and works great now. Glad I didn't throw it out! :)
