Just a period? Probably just using it to subscribe to the thread. I don't think it means anything, just a way to bookmark to follow up later.
Yes, just a period. I’ve seen it posted in a LOT of threads and have never been able to figure out any kind of pattern, no rhyme or reason. I thought about the subscription thing, but if that was it, why doesn’t everyone else do it? :dunno:

Does anyone know why the ATF automatically shows up at a shooting?

Can't they let regular police do their jobs?

Typically, at least the way I view it, it's a reference to the previous post meaning "end of discussion" or "nothing else need be said."

I use  to subscribe usually. I use a period when I want to "delete" a post. I use two periods when I reply to single periods.

I don't subscribe to threads, so dunno. I just click the "new posts" and sort through what I'm interested in that way.

Okay, I admit I'm not up to date on all the latest internet slang, but help me here, WTF does this mean? I see you post it in a lot of threads. Not trying to be a smart ass, just trying to figure out ....... WTF.
    See below.

    This ^
Or, sometimes someone posts something and then decides better of it. You can't blank out a post when editing; it has to have something. So a period works.
    This too :D

It’s the easiest way to get back to where you were at before opening the thread.
