I once tried to calculate similar number from publicly available data, but didn’t get anything as drastic. Anyone know where this came from?
Not doubting it, just want to know the source data to point the non-believers to.

According to liberal Wikipedia, the US murder rate is number 74th in the world - not 3rd [1]. And, this in spite of being #1 in gun ownership, by a loooong way. [2].

Total number of murders is meaningless because it doesn’t account for population (The U.S. is third in terms of population, btw.)

The rest sounds about right, but didn’t look up the numbers.

The thought occurred to me the other day after thinking about the comment made that “no state that has enacted permit-less carry has ever attempted to over turn it”—Wonder which state will be the most likely to do it some day?
