Negative. Still not recovered. The car broke down a couple weeks before it was stolen.

I know I'm respondingto an older post, but I think in Indiana the "Japanese" companies provide a lot more people with regular paychecks than the "American" brands do.

I am not sure about that especially once you add survivor benefits and retirees.....but I am reasonably sure any profits go back to Tokyo. Just my own opinion. I don't want a car that has to have a timing belt replaced as preventative maintenance.

Pretty sure that all new Toyotas and most new Hondas use timing chains, with the notable exception of the Honda J35 V6.

Don't know the numbers on Japanese companies vs. Ford and Chevy employees in Indiana (Chrysler is Italian), but at least none of the money goes to UAW democrat hacks when I buy a new Toyota.

And it just might be the case that the Toyota puts money in the pockets of more Americans, and Hoosiers specifically, than a Chevy made in Mexico.
