My Halloween Singing Faces Light Display. Using Light-O-Rama controllers.

The LED 'flame' bulbs I bought for the blow mold pumpkins were too big for the hole in the pumpkin.
And the base mounts to the hole, so I couldn't just drill them out.

So, I cut a piece of plastic as a 'patch'.
That hold is the size I need for the mount.
Then the hole in the pumpkin was cut bigger.
Used short wood screws to attach the patch to the pumpkin.

Now the pumpkins 'flicker'

This is looking at the BACK side of face #3. Where all the wires are.
I've wired up the 5 mouths.
And the 'open' eyes.
Only circuit left, is the 'closed' eye, nose, and skull.
As you can see, the unused lights from the string are bundled up. They are all on one side, so the plug is there.
This will be mounted to the railing, and the controller will be on that side, so the plugs can reach the controller.

When I make face #4, it will look similar, some changes, but the bundles and plugs will be on the other side, because this will be on the OTHER side of the POST.
I would have been done with this one, but I had to take a day off. Turns out taking several hundred lights out of those sockets, pushing through the board, and putting the light back together is ROUGH on fingers.
Or retirement made me soft.

3rd 'singing face' is up.
I don't think I'm making the 4th face till next year's display.

I'll probably make new videos after the 4th face is up next year.

Tomorrow should get the 3rd one up, half a string out, of course.

Also will have the pumpkins and railing lights up tomorrow.

I'm thinking about downloading a program that let's me sync up the 'mouth' movements to the song.
Seems easy.
Course, learning to use the program MAY just SEEM easy.
But, if I do, and if I learn to use it, I've been thinking of some new songs.

Well, the face 'sync' was done by somebody else.
I just bought the sequencing for the 5 songs.
As long as I wire the face up like other people do, then the syncing transfers to other people

Such as, light one closed eye
light two open eye.


But I've been looking at a program that lets me make a file to sync up the lights to songs I choose.
That would be next year, the earliest.
