You dodged a bullet there Phylo, glad you weren’t seriously injured, and will have the chance to learn from this.

Wow. I’ll add my “glad you’re ok” to the rest. Sounds like the tractor came away relatively unscathed too? Several times a year, I’ll read about some farmer having their tractors roll over on them. Glad that wasn’t you.

So why are you dumping manure over that side? Dump it where you can get to it in a year or two ... will be incredible compost.

I'd put a big pile out by the road. Sign saying $25 a truckload. Pay for some tractor fuel. :)

Glad you are OK phylodog! Or hope you are today, the day after?

phylodog's updates and pics from his farm are some of the best threads on INGO. :ingo:

Why does “green acres” keep playing in my mind!

You gonna post some pics of your bruised butt?

Don’t die of some kinda blood clot or something but if you do can I have your tractor?

Thank you gents. I'm walking upright (almost, sorta) today but feeling every inch of that fall. Pretty sure I bruised a few ribs as the thought of coughing scares me more than Hillary being POTUS.

Are you certain you do not have Covid-19 because of your tractor event? If we were in NY (shudder) this would be the diagnosis.

Glad to read you are basically ok instead of hearing a tragedy on the news.

You can almost hear that red beast laughing at you in that photo!

I prescribe some bourbon and couch rest with no laughter!

Note I am not a Dr. but as you know they cannot do anything for the ribs.

I'm sure you're feeling that. Thankfully it wasn't worse, we've had a fair share of farming accidents in Hamilton County recently. Recover and stay safe!

have you recovered the tractor yet?

Let's see, ... New knickers, check. Tylenol, check. Three fingers of bourbon over the rocks, with a splash of pure branch water to protect our precious bodily fluids,. Check.

Ol' Doc DeadeyeChrista'sdad prescribes day on the porch swing, alternating with sofa naps.

10 days ago a fella near me rolled his tractor down the side of a ravine. His son found him when he hadn't come in for lunch. I'm glad you survived this one.

A good reminder to keep the roll bar up and seat belt on.

While I wont say you should ALWAYS ALWAYS wear it (e.g. not likely to roll it over cutting a flat pasture and you never drive anywhere near a slope) , whenever you are using the bucket or working around hills or ravines its a good idea. Especially for you. We kinda like ya and want to keep you around.
