why did you have to strip insulation from a pigtail? Did you purchase a controller that you had to assemble?

I would make fun of you, but while I have had no problems with thousands of cables, I have been known to slip a screwdriver off a screw head and put it into my hand.

Even better if it is a screwdriver bit in an impact driver.

What HD hasn't told everyone is that if he'd have stayed where he was and doing what he was doing - this wouldn't have happened to him.

But he left MontereyC6, myself, and Mrs. Tactically Fat at my house and went home. 45 minutes later we get a text "I cut myself, on the way to the ER for stitches".

Should've stayed at my house, man!

Needed a jumper wire from a 12v power supply to a pixie4 controller board

update: 12h later thumb still numb

To strip WIRES, I recommend (but NOT Klein, I do NOT recommend Klein) (You may need more than one tool, because they only have so much range of cable sizes.)

To strip CABLES I use (maybe not for beginners though)

A safer way to strip CABLES (you can vary the depth of the bite. Awesome when doing hundreds of the same type cable. Not so good when doing varying types of cable)

Above post, I mentioned not liking KLEIN tools.
I was pushing hard on a Klein screwdriver (screw was rusted or seized) and the shaft broke. Drove my arm into the shaft, starting at the junction of the thumb and pointing finger, and up about 3 inches.

Weeks later, my buddy was using Klein pliers. The pliers broke. Gashed along the thumb and wrist.
