I would like to change to cast bullets for my 45 loads this season, and am looking for a source of 45 cal H&G #68 Hard Cast Lead SWC bullets. I need 1000 to start, but have not found a source locally or otherwise. I would appreciate knowing any sources any readers can point me to.

I think the #68 mold pattern is a single lube groove, and a flat nose right? I do not know if they are from an H&G model # 68 mold, but 200 gr SWC Mastercast bullets in Enon, PA bullets have been very dependable. They are 18 Brinnel hardness. USPS shipping is about $12 for up to 2000 bullets. They are boxed up 500 bullets at a time. They have a web site. Mastercast.net. Good Luck

    Maybe these?

The first picture is of some that came right out of an original H&G #68 mould.
The others may be from a Lee copy, 6 cavity. They are a bit more "pointy" than the original but shoot about as well.

These come out of my garage and shoot really, really, well.

    Just thought I would share.

When I want a certain profile of bullets, I just buy that mould! ;)

Skip, yours look better than the ones on MasterCast! Care to sell any?
Thanks for all the responses to my inquiry. The MasterCast bullets will save me a lot of money; I've been shooting Hornady XTP 200 gr JHP bullets with a hot load. The H&G 68's will be used with a target loading; I hope to get in a lot of range time this year.
