Congrats you passed 50! Reread my post, I didn't mention anything about buying or selling anything mightve implied it. Welcome to ingo.

This thread took and odd turn....but I still wouldn't mind having larry as my neighbor....if he builds that range.

He did post about his family's land and range down there, which is at least slightly pertinent when the OP is asking about land in NWI to build a range...

i was refering to the post about hickok45's range that someone else posted

Look into Kouts. Drive north to Valpo, get on 8 to Merrillville, drive south a short bit to the Kankakee river or the range at JP.

Still in limbo and just not sure what I want to do. I went shooting at a family members place today down past the valpo airport a few miles. If I could find a little more land, I might be good. If I move way out to the sticks them I will get a bunch of land but after scanning the whole area I have not really seen one house that I would want. Some great feedback on the schools... Thank you for those who commented.
