This is dumb. My form 4-individual check was cashed on 6/22/18 and my status is still pending. Is there any rhyme or reason as to how people who submitted after me get approved before I do?

Yes. Any number of factors from passport usage, security clearances, similar named criminals....

I just renewed my passport, and I have a TWIC clearance. Would that potentially do it?

Maybe. Clearances can slow things down. Could also be that your inspector took a vacation

Trust with me being the only responsible person my 3 oldest are from last January, March, and June

A friend and I efiled form 1 SBRs on the same day back in March, he got his e-file back 3 weeks ago, me not so much (I even got a UPIN to make my NFA checks go quicker....hardy har har)


Talked with an examiner today and he said the shutdown really messed stuff up but in the past 2 weeks the FBI has been cranking out the background checks. We'll see about that

I hope you're right. I swear that the ATF starts each day by spinning a wheel and throwing a dart at it and based on where the dart hits, that’s the pile of form 4’s that they process that day.

I was sitting back waiting for efile form 4 to come back online so I could file for my Sig 22 can. I might have to give up and paper file my trust. That'll be a long painful wait.

If I paper file then I might as well efile another form 1 and build myself another suppressor.

Worst case you paper file your form 4 trust and if efile comes back up, you call into the ATF and cancel that submission, then resubmit using the efile system

It's a crappy process, but you'll never get your paperwork back if they're never submitted somehow
