    Hobart
They were notified 2 weeks prior. Your government at work.

To busy spending money on bs here in Hobart. Roundabouts, gazebo at the police station, fancy light posts, stones engraved with Hobart on them, etc, etc, etc. No need to worry about taking care of the current dilapidated infrastructure.

I am privy to the rain garden info (which is a good thing and will be installed at the new school and anywhere else when funds are allocated:

"The City of Hobart – City Hall Parking Lot Renovation and Green Infrastructure Installation
The goal of the City Hobart Green Infrastructure Parking Lot Project Renovation is to treat the stormwater runoff as close to possible to where it falls. The rain garden would assist this goal by theinstallation of Best Management Practices (BMP’s) at the City Hall Parking Lot which the individualBMP’s can address the quality of storm water before entering Lake George and Deep River.
The rain garden will be installed within 300 feet of Lake George which will decrease stormwater runofffrom the parking lot and remove heavy metals, oil, grease, pesticides, nutrients, and pathogens, androad salt before they can be emptied into Lake George; which eventually drains into Lake Michigan andour drinking water supply. Runoff containing these pollutants is detrimental to fish and aquatic life inthe lake. A cleaner lake would benefit those who use the lake to fish and those who use the lake forrecreation. The rain garden and bio swale would also prevent standing water in the parking lot andenhance the beauty of the area on the north side of City Hall.
In addition, installation of green infrastructure BMP's would be a simple low cost means to enhance thedowntown area as well as provide an educational opportunity, through signage, for the diverse citizenswho park in the lot. A rain garden would be one more building block towards Hobart’s goal of asustainable community.
The project outcome goal is to document the City ongoing efforts that storm water best managementpractices can provide a significant role in the execution of storm water management.
    Why this is critical:
Tracking total numbers of green storm water infrastructure best management practices (BMPs)implemented in the city will be used to track BMP implementation numerically, e.g., the number ofalternative storm water construction methods in place or the number of people changing their behaviordue to the receipt of educational materials.
Tracking program/BMP effectiveness will be used to evaluate BMP effectiveness, for example, byevaluating a BMP's effectiveness at reducing pollutant loadings, or evaluating a public educationcampaign's effectiveness at reaching and informing the target audience to determine whether it reducespollutants. "

Layman's terms: parking lot run off filtration system from dripping cars keeping pollutants out of the lake and streams located under the landscaping

Yeah, but at what cost. They added the median on Old Ridge rd with all the plants and trees, which then died, because they didn't maintain it, then replanted again. All wasting tax money, while 90% of the streets are fd up. They did the lakefront with all those nice bricks that people paid for, and it fell apart within 10 years, and is now being redone again. Im sick of the wasted money, and dont get me wrong, the wasted money is in every City, County, State, etc. In 9 years my property taxes have tripled! And going up another $150 a year with the damn referendum that just passed. Im done. Just a little over 2 more years and Hobart will be in my rearview mirror. Maybe sooner if we're lucky. Keeping an eye out now for a home with property in Walkerton or possibly Star City.

Your waste and sewage rates are what is a crime in that town.

And, yes, that median is a huge waste and PITA. Someone screwed the pooch right off the bat.

Bah. I can't go again , but maybe someone else can go: https://www.indianagunowners.com/fo...pen-ingo-shoot-may-12th-@proteq-brazil-2.html

Then, hey Pinky, we're is the M&S schedule where people only show up on Saturday's and I saw very few on Sunday's last year?

    :(
lools like fun amd glad that other regional groups are getting together. the nwi meet & shoots fell apart last year due to the dnr rule change on sidearms and the majority of members boycotting winamac. as a group we attended just one which was the youth shoot. the rest of the posted meet and shoots were on paper but no one showed up except one or two.

so this year i didnot bother to even make/post a schedule.

Yeah, It only took me three tries to get fed up with trying to arrange M&E's. 1775usmarine was much more patient.

NWI INGO, too busy to shoot or meet.
