On the engraving I found a local gift shop at one of our malls here in Evansville to do it. I wish Indy Laser Engraving would come down to E-ville at one our gun shows, but no luck.

On the paint... there are 100's of you-tube videos on how to do it, but the best & easiest one I found was this one below. I've done 3 lowers like this with great results. However most will tell you to use non-acetone nail polish remover, but I have found that Hoppe's #9 gun solvent works much better & faster. Just have to take some care and not smear paint (ghosting). I also use cotton gun patched to clean the paint.

I will second the model paint and hoppes to clean it up. I have done a couple handguns and my Ingo lower as well.

I just got my upper in and now #219 has become an AR57. Just need to put sights and probably a reddot and will be good.

I'm almost there! I was a part of the first group buy, and just now got the last of the pieces. It's been a slow, slow process...

My only remaining steps are barrel torquing, front sight pinning, and gas tube... the big ones! I'm pretty nervous, and I lack some of the proper tools. Is there an ar build coming up, by chance? Or anyone in the area willing to help by chance? Thanks, ingo!
