I'm gonna go with a lever action carbine in .357 mag, with my preference being a Marlin 1894 cowboy with the octagon barrel....in .357 it's big enough for deer or medium size game, handy enough and powerful enough for personal defense and with .38 special can take smaller game without losing too much meat, and either one would be a lot of fun for targets........I like the octagon barrel on the Marlin because I think it would be a bit stronger than a round barrel, and might live a bit longer(plus I think it looks better:D ).....nothing wrong with the other choices in the poll, but for all around versatility, since I could hypothetically have only one, this is my choice

Glock 29. It's small enough to carry and has multiple caliber options with a barrell swap. 10mm, .40 S&W, .357 Sig, and I'm not so sure a .22 and possibly a 9mm conversion isn't made for it.

Can't be just one. I would want something up close, handgun. I would also want something for a longer distance. Now there's the catch, how far is a longer distance? Do I want a rifle, if so what type? Do I want a shotgun for in between. Could always settle for a sawed off shotgun if we were talking about the end of the world. But all things considered, it would be a pistol.

First of all, what a horrible thought!!!!

Tough choice, but if I could only have one I would go with my Glock 23.
I would love to have a long gun, but if I could only have one I want something I can easily have on me at all times.
