    I read a Massad Ayoob article where he recommended these.

    Yes and no.

    He recommends carrying it in a pocket, and if you're ever in a situation where police are going to be around after you shot a mass shooter, it gives some way to tell the 911 operator how to have the police identify you so they don't shoot you.

    Doesn't need to say CCW on it, just any sort of brightly colored sash.

    I did not suggest it be wornall the time. The one that he showed was retractable like a seat belt, worn on the belt and could be deployed in a second, by pulling it over shoulder.

    I am sorry if any inferred that it be worn openly all the time.
