    I've done several over the years. I start with wiping down all the areas to be painted with alcohol. Tape off or remove anything you don't want to paint. Start by laying down a solid base coat color of your choice. I typically do green or tan. It's best to do 2 coats. Next you can get creative with your pattern. I like using sticks and leaves as stencils, but I also came across some old fishing net awhile back and have used that as well. Once I am satisfied with how it looks, I top it off with a matte clear coat.

    I would agree…. An improvement. Not every gun needs a face lift. Nor do guns “need” to be camouflaged. I just think it does look cool on some guns, and some should be left alone.
    A skilled painter can make a firearm look 'cool' but if the skill isn't there, it usually ends up worse than OEM. I've purchased new wood stocks (replacements) and stained them, but have never painted any of my guns! Bottom line...just don't overdo it!
