Plenty of people with psychiatric and psychological problems can fight well. That doesn't make them good Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen or Marines and even if the individual was capable of being a good member of the military, that doesn't mean it's the right thing for the military overall.

And many seem to not understand that when your goal is combat effectiveness- killing people who need killing and breaking their stuff- the squad, platoon, company and battalion come way before the "right" of an individual to "live their own truth".

If there really are 15000 transgenders in the military we sure as hell need some new recruiters. With all our wounded not being able to get treated, somebody that thinks there the wrong sex and wants the tax payer to pay for the change and let wounded men die for want of treatment Sorry I find that kind of disgusting.
