Yeah, really, 1911s are by far one of the easiest pistol designs to shoot. My very petite girlfriend can hit anything with a 1911 and she goes to the range with me once a year.

If you wanted a real man's gun you'd get a derringer in .454 Casull.

The 1911 is just an unparalleled firearm in terms of design and dependability, congrats!

I ran a box or Remington thru my Ultra Carry today and smiled the entire time, except for when i was picking up brass, I just love the 1911:yesway:

Congratulations, I'm still searching for the right 1911. If only it was a perfect world where I could get instant gratification....

The world is not so un-perfect as you might think. Start out with a Kimber and save yourself a lot of trouble. From there you will want a Wilson or Les Bear but it will still save you a few steps...

Congrats I just got my first 1911 last weekend. RIA Tactical. Its more than I ever expected. The only bad thing about getting a 1911 is that it will make your Glock feel like a childs toy. lol

Congratulations on your first 1911. Springfield puts out a pretty solid 1911. I have a Springfield Lightweight Operator that I like a lot.

I love my Rock Island Armory 1911. I know it is not a highly valued pistol, but it shoots GREAT! I think my next is a Kimber ultra carry!
