The public is getting what the vocal instigators want, one incident at a time. Maybe it's a one-off, maybe it's not.

It is past time for the majority to start pushing back against the narrative, and aggressively. Policies are being considered, drafted, and implemented entirely at the behest of the noisiest segments of society. These policies will live on for years, becoming entrenched practices of an organization.

There is no will to do the right thing for the sake of doing the right thing at the top of many police organizations. There is only political capital to be gained or lost. The insidious creep of wokeness and pacification continue to take their toll on all aspects of the profession, from recruitment to promotion. This is true even in "conservative" locales, see Carmel, Westfield as examples.

Everybody claims to want a Sheriff Judd, but forget that Judd is in his position because the people of Polk County DEMAND it. Polk County WANTS criminals hauled in. They WANT police to use force when necessary, they WANT aggressive prosecution, and they are very vocal about it.

I am fortunate to work for one of the best CLEOs in Indiana. He is a real constitutionalist, and leads our agency in the precepts thereof. He has been excellent for furthering the cause of freedom in Indiana and fully supports the rule of law over the rule of mob. But he takes flak for it. Not just from the twitteratti and the ACAB douche nuggets, but from CLEOs in his own county. From prosecutors. He went against Doug Carter on ConC, and got blacklisted by certain parties because of it. He does things because they are RIGHT, not because he is getting overwhelming support. Men like him are rare. Most men will bend, at least a little, in the direction of the wind. If you want to change the direction of the bend, change the wind.

In reference to what should a female cop do against two male peeps demonstrating a propensity to violence? The same thing a male cop would do, or is she not as capable as her male colleagues. If she is not as capable, and this is the result, maybe she shouldn't have the job.
