Just take comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering, and that he now breathes easy in the presence of God. I too had the luxury of saying good bye and sitting with dad toward the end in hospice. Its rough, and I still miss him every day even 9 years later, but I'm glad he no longer suffers.
There are rough times ahead, but I promise they get better eventually.
Tactically Fat, my prayers will be said for you and yours tonight. My Father passed a couple of years ago from COPD complications, so sadly I can relate... Be thankful for every minute, and do not mourn or ponder on what wasn't said. Focus on the good times, and remember what he passed on to you, and you will pass on to yours.

My mom passed when i was 20 years old(23 years ago) and my dad followed 9 months later. While with time it does get easier, Im still sad too.
Remeber all those good times you had and cherish those memories! Another prayer sent your way as well
Sorry for your loss. I hope he went in peace and at least he knew you were there with him. I think that is the best we can do for our loved ones at the end is to be with them so that they dont leave this world alone.
