I'm just glad to see you have the bipod in the correct spot. For your over-gassed PSL, try sending it to Jim Fuller if you don't mind spending $450. He does really good work.Rifle Dynamics 07 FFL/SOT - Las Vegas | GSR

Not to concerned about it really. I know a guy that machines adjustable gas blocks anyways so if I really get an itch I'll just go that route.

If anything I am considering a UK59 heavy barrel and doing a total tear down on it so it would be moot at this point.

My new baby. Currently a .308 but I am having a .338BR barrel made for it for subsonic action. I have also ordered the full deployement kit for it.

Read all about that gun in Recoil Magazine. You should check it out, they had a really nice optics setup that matched the rifle perfectly.

A buddy has the same set-up in .308 and .338 Lapua. The .338 Lapua barrel seems to be more accurate from 100 yards, all the way out to 1,000 yards. Fun to shoot and it is amazing how rapidly you can swap barrels and calibers.

Not the same rifle.... I have a love affair with the 54r cartridge and PSLs. The first is over gassed and runs out of steam at 400. The second is an easy 600 yard gun and I could probably push it further if I had more land to shoot on and loaded up the 7n1.

    That with a stock rifle?

The rifle started as a 700 SPS Varmint. The barrel and bolt are still factory. I added an AI 1.5 chassis system, a Jewell trigger set to 1 lb. pull, an Atlas spiggot mount bi-pod, an Accu-shot mono-pod, NightForce Direct Mount 20 MOA base and a NightForce 8-32X56 NSX scope with the MilDot reticle.

I have about 4,000 rounds through the factory barrel and it is still going strong. It took about 2 years of fooling around with my reloads to get those kinds of groups. I cut my group sizes in half by just switching from CCI primers to FGM Match primers (no other changes to the loads).

Nothing super fancy but I have more fun shooting this than any other gun in my safe.

I really want to pick up a rem 700 now! Nice guns guys. Anybody still finding 308 around?

I've seen a bit of .308, .223, 9mm and .45 in LGS's, most of the big box stores are BARE except for oddball stuff (.222 remington, .204 ruger, .270, stuff like that)

This weekend I managed to scrounge a couple boxes of Hornady .223 75gr, and a couple boxes of 9mm and .45, Small Pistol primers are non-existent, but found a box each of SR and LR...

    Still can't find bullets though...
