Is it only $20? A bargain at twice the price.when did it increase from $20?

It is Federal law that requires age 21 for purchase of handgun or handgun ammo from a dealer. Also - I've never understood Indiana law that allows you to buy a pistol in a 7-11 parking lot but not from a dealer. You get your LTCH at 18 but can't buy a handgun (or ammo for that matter) until you're 21. Back asswards if you ask me.
And... get your LTCH before you buy a handgun in the classifieds. You can prove to a seller that you're legit. Some members won't even sell something without seeing the pink card first.
Yeah honestly it’s kinda stupid though you’d think that it would be a state by state thing instead of meeting up with some rando off the internet or Uncle Billy Bob having a extra pistol laying around. It is Federal law that requires age 21 for purchase of handgun or handgun ammo from a dealer.
Yes it is. Indiana has provisions for an 18yo to purchase a handgun if they'd like to as well. I'm guessing it has to do with military service age, but I honestly don't know.It is Federal law that requires age 21 for purchase of handgun or handgun ammo from a dealer.
That is the mindset they hope for. Making people afraid to exercise their rights is the same as taking them.Yes, that is the Monday answer from the ATF but what about tomorrows answer?
Knowing the ATF like I do, what is to keep them from saying you "should" have bought from an FFL but didn't and now you illegally possess a handgun? Asking for a friend...
Except that first “F” in FFL is for Federal, and under federal law you can’t be in the business of selling guns without their permission.Yeah honestly it’s kinda stupid though you’d think that it would be a state by state thing instead of meeting up with some rando off the internet or Uncle Billy Bob having a extra pistol laying around.
There actually was a federal judge who recently sided with peoples rights but as soon as that happened the case would put on hold lmaoExcept that first “F” in FFL is for Federal, and under federal law you can’t be in the business of selling guns without their permission.
Now that entire industry, the laws around it and ALL gun laws are unconstitutional but finding a judge who’s going to side with the people’s rights isn’t likely to happen in a capacity that removes ALL those burdens for a long while.
Until then, the only thing Indiana can do is allow a person under 21 to acquire a handgun in some other lawful way that isn’t thru an FFL, OP could have his PARENT buy him a handgun as a birthday present for example.
I’ll probably end up doing both since I’m still waiting to get my LTCH and overall I like the site.get to 50 or buy site supporter and browse classifieds. Just be aware people may not want to sell to you being under 21 and a new ish member.
Uncle Billy Bob with a spare pistol, is he from Washington County?? Sounds like 3 or 4 guys I know from high school.I’ll probably end up doing both since I’m still waiting to get my LTCH and overall I like the site.
A lot of those people are the same ones who want to see pink card for a long gun purchase.get to 50 or buy site supporter and browse classifieds. Just be aware people may not want to sell to you being under 21 and a new ish member.
And there is nothing wrong with that. The seller sets the terms of the sale.A lot of those people are the same ones who want to see pink card for a long gun purchase.
The first step in avoiding a trap is being aware of the trap. If you want to poke your finger up the bulls butt, I call to question the policy of publicly announcing your intention to the bull. Even if you have an FFL any AFT inspector will tell you they can ALWAYS find a mistake and that is all they need to shut you down. How much easier do you think they will go on an individual? That is the mindset they hope for. Making people afraid to exercise their rights is the same as taking them.
I don’t think there would even be many states that I can carry in besides like Indiana and Illinois only reason I’m honestly getting it is to purchase and make the seller feel better about their saleAnd there is nothing wrong with that. The seller sets the terms of the sale.
Everyone should have a pink card, if you leave the state and carry, it's a must IMO.

Illinois High Capacity Mag & Firearm Ban
So help me sort through the fog here....in the area of pistols...handguns, not AR pistols. Is there a 10 round limit? And obviously, as an Indiana permit holder, I know I cannot carry, but what is the rule about in a car or vehicle? Can I keep the weapon on my person in the car and loaded...www.indianagunowners.com
