Looks like I'm the only one loading the heavies.

    147gr berrys, 3.3 titegroup, 1.15oal

    ran great in a 17, 17l, 1911 and mp5sd

I'm actually in the process of switching over to 147gr berrys. Still sitting on a bunch of 231 so it will be 231 for some time.

do u guys put a slight crimp

I use a Lee factory crimp die just enough to eliminate any flare.

I setup to run 147gr Extreme RN over 3.8gr Autocomp yesterday. Ran fine with a nice punch to them. Probably could dial it back a little. Haven't setup the chrono yet.

Using the Lee crimp/seat die for final station.

I was shooting 147 bayous over 3.4 of Win 231. Loaded to 1.14". They ran fine in my 1911 and M&P. Too long for the other guns. I might go back to this load or something similar with a light charge of Titegroup. But the 124s seemed to shoot a bit more accurately and will run in all my guns.

I run the 147gr Xtreme's for my 10yr old to shoot out of his G19. 3.6gr of 231 is a nice light smooth load that is dead on accurate for him.

Planning to p/u some 231 this week. It seems to be a good all-around powder for 9mm from what I read. How does it do in metering through a Hornady powder throw?

For plinking, I use 124 grain RN (Berry) with 3.7 grains Titegroup for S&W 9mm Shield. This load works fine for a 3.8" barrel on the Sheild, but insufficient for reliable operation in HK P30 (4.0 grains Titegroup works OK for plinking on HK).
