I tried some one-handed bullseye style shooting today, in addition to some other shooting programs at American Shooters. Not anything like I could have done when I was at my peak, but not too shabby for an old man. I've been working of getting some of those small shoulder, arm and hand muscles toned a little to reduce the shakes. The right-hand only target was shot at 25 yards, but the left-hand only target was only shot at 15 yards. Looks like if I was going to continue to shoot left-handed, I'd need a sight adjustment.

Still far and away better than most shooters at my range can do with two hands. One handed bullseye shooting is one of the dying art forms of pistol shooting. I injured my right shoulder some years ago and my one hand pistol shooting went downhill since then. Most of my one handed shooting was target centerfire revolver and 22 pistol. I tell my bullseye shooting friend if I could shoot one handed like I do two handed I might be somebody!

    25 yards!!!! :wow:
I wouldn't even be able to see the "X" at that distance.
I think it looks amazing!

Several years ago I also injured my right shoulder. It took years for it to get better. Like a fool, I didn't seek medical help. By the time it seemed to get better I was far out of practice and too long in the tooth. I mostly shoot two-handed timed drills since, but I do like to take a few one-handed shots (usually at closer ranges and under time limits) to train for the unlikely event I should lose the use of one of my hands. One-handed shooting can really point out my flaws in concentration and trigger control.

I wish I could have called back that 8! I don't try to see the X. I just try to see the front sight and press the trigger without disturbing sight alignment. Maybe when I get my cataracts removed, I'll be able to see the sights more clearly. The eye doctor keeps pushing that surgery down the road.

Always wanted to try out a Springfield Hellcat.
A Hellcat Pro became available in the Classifieds with upgrades :rockwoot:
    - Powder River Precision hybrid trigger system
    - DPM recoil rod/spring
    - stainless steel pin set
    - Swampfox micro red dot.
    I liked the 15 rd mags x2.

It worked flawlessly in the 120 rds I put downrange using 115 & 147 grain FMJ ammo.
Nothing remarkable about my shooting today with either red dot or iron sights.
Didn't even bother posting the red dot range pic, essentially the same as with iron sights.
As Zackcz is fond of saying, I must be the weak point since this is a popular gun. :dunno:
For me, it doesn't shoot as well as my SW Shield Plus Performance Center with ported barrel so I won't keep it long, but it'll be fine to have around as a house gun with its 15 rd mags.

My lackluster range pic at 15', 21' & 30' using good FMJ ammo.

I had a rare non-22LR range day, since I focus on .22LRs most of the time.
    - CZ Shadow 2 (range only, upgraded by our Wizard)
    - CZ Rami (range & potential CC, upgraded by our Wizard)
    - SW Shield Plus Performance Center, ported barrel (favorite CC)
    - Kahr PM9 (smallest & most carried 9mm CC)
    - Ruger Security 9 (inexpensive house gun)
    - Ruger LCR 38 (CC) & SW 64-5 (home defense) revolvers on 38 sp thread

    Ruger Security 9
    15' & 21' on a rest & free hand.
Nothing to write a home about.
Ruger Security 9 bought 9.2023 includes LCR & 64-5 rvlvrs cropped only R Sec 9.jpg

Rami, Shield Plus & Kahr on 3.75" circles at 15 & 21', on rest & free hand.
Rami: got better each circle since don't shoot it much. I love this gun!
Note: Hard to justify these CZs since I'm not using 9mm for daily range fun any more. :ugh:
Shield Plus: worst range pic I remember since buying it 2 yrs ago.
Kahr PM9: ironic that free hand was better than on rest, but it was at only 15'.
    Range 9.27.2023 x3 9mm.jpg

My beloved Shadow 2 at 21 & 30' on 3.75" circles all on a rest.
I am definitely the weak X factor, this gun shoots better. :dunno:

Good shooting guys, I still try and get to INDYARMS once a month, just to shoot my carry pieces.
GLOCK GSSF match late October, I want to shoot the plates, I too am not as good as I once was, so it’s all just for fun nowadays.

Was looking for an inexpensive house gun & found this in the Classifieds.
I've had 3-4 SW SD9VE in the past, so it's fitting I've come full circle. Again.
I had to buy it b/c of the upgrades at a $250 price tag. :dunno:

First 15 rds with the SW SD9VE using reloads.
5 rds each on 3.75" circles at 21'.
    Range 10.06.2023 3.75in circles.jpg

Didn't have any 3.75" circle targets left, these are 5.75"
15' & 21' were fine, but "user error" on last 30' circle. :nono:
Used CCI Blazer 115 grain FMJ.
    Range 10.06.2023 3.75in circles x9.jpg

Some last rounds with this $200 Ruger Security 9 since I replaced it with the SW SD9VE.
Earlier, I had bought this Ruger Security 9 as my inexpensive house gun.
In my sickness & hobby addiction, I upgraded it w/i a week. :lmfao:

I had an atypical time at the range yesterday at MCFG.
After .22LR rifle work, I shot at 6 steel plates with:
    - SW 64-5 .38 special DAO revolver (50 rds)
    - CZ Rami (50 rds)
    - CZ Shadow 2 (51 rds: 17 rd mags x3)
    - SW Shield Plus PC, ported barrel, green & red fiber optics (30 rds)

What a fun way to burn through a box of .38 sp & 1.5 boxes of 9mm. :rockwoot:
Fortunately, a friend from INGO gave me some reloads to take away the pain. :ingo:

The Rami has night sights which are wonderful for night work, but worthless for range time during the day.
Hard to get a bead when practicing low hold position with my eyes. :oldwise:
The Shadow 2 has red optic front sight: awesome!

I love my two CZ pistols.
Both have been upgraded by the Wizard & shoot like it.
The Tungsten steel Cerakote finish on the Shadow 2 was by Allen of Diamond Collision.

    Rami pic.jpg

Bought from a life long friend for nostalgic reasons.
    Range 5.22.2023 3.75in Cir.jpg

Favorite CC & shoots like a range toy!
pic of SW MP Shield PLUS 9 left side at range w13 rd mag.jpg

My big spurge in the hobby, too much money invested for my pay grade. :spend:
But, I have a gun that thrills me every time I pick it up!

Delighted to pick up a Walther PDP 4.5" full size yesterday in the Classifieds.
Has 2 optic mounting plates & two 18 rd mags.

Put 55 rds through it today using 128 grain Spire Point reloads.
I'm not going to bother putting a red dot on it, but just enjoy it with the iron sights.
I'll use it for a house gun & occasional non optic range gun.

    1st rounds on 5.75" circles at 15', 21' & 30'.
    Range 10.16.2023 1st rds 15 & 21 & 30ft on 5.75in circles..jpg

    5 rds on each 3.75" circle at 15' & 21'.
A little tighter groups this time.
Didn't have the courage to use the 1.75" circles.

Traded with Zackcz & picked up a CZ 75 B SA only b/c it was SAO.
I think I've had every model of CZ 9mms, but was not even aware of this model.
I've got "Wizard-enhanced" CZ Rami & Shadow 2, which are my prized possessions. :ingo:
Just had to try this one out in stock condition to see how it measures up.
1st round ever from this gun & it was PERFECT!!! :rockwoot:
I had this happen years ago with a small Ruger 1911 & I still remember it!
At 21' on 3.75" circles using CCI Blazer (don't know if 115 or 124 grain).
No reloads today, testing this fun CZ. :nono:
    Range 10.30.2023 1st round shot PERFECT 21ft at 3.75in hahaha.jpg

For whatever reason after the 2nd circle of nearly being a cloverleaf, the 3rd circle's POI went low???
2nd row at only 15', I thought I'd get a cloverleaf for sure, but no.
3rd row, 30" was OK except the 2 low flyers???
Tendency for POI to be low & tried to compensate by raising up my POA a little.
    Range 10.30.2023 1st rounds at 21ft on 3.75in 21, 15 & 30ft.jpg

    Description:
    Discontinued 2018.
The CZ 75 B SA (single action) is identical to the CZ 75 B in all aspects except that it has a single action trigger mechanism.
The trigger is a straight blade type and is adjustable for overtravel.
This version is perfect for sport shooting.

All steel construction (except alloy framed compacts)
    High capacity double column magazines
    Hammer forged barrels
    Ergonomic grip and controls
    Unparalleled accuracy
Slide-in-frame design for better recoil control
3 dot sighting system (Tritium night sights available)
    Crisp single action
Extended service life due to advanced design and superior materials
    Firing pin block safety
Designed in 1975, the CZ 75 is the flagship model of the CZ handgun line with over one million produced.
CZ 75 B is used by more governments, militaries, police and security agencies than any other pistol in the world.
The CZ 75 is quite possibly the perfect pistol.

At those distances, the point of impact shouldn't noticeably change if using the same ammo. With handguns, I always consider operator error to be the fly in the ointment.

That's what Zackcz is always quick to point out.:lmfao:

Always fun to take a member's gun to the range, especially if it is a CZ. :ingo:
Zackcz let me take his 75 SP-01 Shadow that he put on orange grips. :rockwoot:
Some good groups with both guns!
If Zack's were my gun, I'd have to drift POA over the the left a hair more.

    Used Reloads, 105 grain on 5.75" circles at m 15' & 21' & 30' & 45'.

    1.75" circles at 15', 21' & 30'.
I'm impressed, a 9mm handgun has to be shooting well for me to get out my 1.75" circles used for .22LR.

I had considered getting a optics ready CZ Shadow but they did not make a single action only version. Ended up with a Sig P226 again and bought an optics slide. Trigger for target work was really poor , sent to The Sig Armorer and while much better not as good as the single action CZs I have felt. Although I did not get the top level Competition Action job which I should have. Got the Carry Action job.

doddg , you had a CZ converted over to single action only , I imagine the trigger on that one is really nice?

Yes, The Wizard converted my Shadow 2 I bought 5 yrs ago to SAO, along with a few other Cajun upgrades.
Trigger is wonderful. I tested it, but don't remember, probably 2#.

Also, the CZ Rami that The Wizard had fully upgraded with Cajun parts before I bought it is still DA/SA, but trigger is just as sweet.
In fact, I wish I'd never converted the Shadow to SAO, b/c now I can't use it for a house gun since I was advised that wasn't prudent.
I really don't even need either anymore, but they shoot so well I'm not going to sell until I get poor, or keep buying more .22LR handguns & need the money! :spend: :lmfao:
I almost sold the Rami for $800 nearly 4 yrs ago, but I'm glad I didn't since I've seen the stock Rami selling for as much as $800: it's money in the bank!
